Norms of Quality for Aubergine |

CATEGORY I |
|
|
- Should be of high quality and represent the characteristics of this category with out defects.
- Should be fresh, and have a stem, smooth skin and not have a high amount of seeds.
- Category I should exclude:
- Defects of form.
- Defects in colour.
- Cuts or scars superior to 3 cm.
- Quality tolerance and calibre up to 10% of aubergine chosen in category II.

CATEGORY II |
|
|
- Should be fresh and firm. At the same time should not have over deloped seeds.
- These aubergines can have the following defects:
- Defects of form.
- Defects in colour.
- Sun burn.
- Scars which have healed and no longer than 40 cm maximum.
