   CATEGORY I  
  
  • Well selected zucchini, with its right shape and colour are considered category I.
  • Zucchini in this category should not have a stem longer in length than 3 cm.
  • The visible part of the packed product should be representative of all the material being shipped.
  • Category I should be free of the following:
    • Deformed zucchini.
    • Defects in the colour.
    • Cracks or wrinkles in the skin.
  • Tolerance of quality and size up to 10% can be of category II.
  
   CATEGORY II  
  
  • Considered in this category if they have the following defects:
    • The tip can be some what damaged.
    • Defect in form and color.
    • Sun burn.
    • Scars on the skin which do not affect the conservation.
  • Not included in this category are those courgettes which have gone bad, or have wounds which have not healed.
  • Tolerance of quality and size up to 10% difference of those in this category.
